Salads, Green with Foam

Sea Foam Salad
1 #2 1/2 size can of pears
1 cup pear syrup
1 3 oz box lime jello
2 3 oz. Pkgs Phil. Cream Cheese
1 tsp Mayonnaise
1 envelope dream whip or 1 small box Cool Whip

Heat syrup and dissolve jello in it. Let set until thick. Drain and mash pears with blender or mixer. Soften cheese with mayonnaise. Mix. Fold in Cool Whip or Dream Whip (whipped).
Mix together and refrigerate. Miss F. 1983

Notes:
1. When the alternative is Cool Whip or something from an envelope, you can be sure it’s a good recipe.
2. Wasn’t it cute when people still called cream cheese Philadelphia Cream Cheese?
3. It’s nice to know that if one finds one’s cheese is too hard, one might turn to mayonnaise, a superior softening agent.

Hmmm you seem to have become increasingly domestic of late. Or perhaps you are pining for the forbidden tastes of your childhood--the sugary sweet frivolity denied you in favor of homemade plain yogurt and trail mix? Don't get me started on the trick-or-treat options of Halloween past.
